Who We Are
Shun Fat Supermarket is a rapidly-growing Asian supermarket chain selling a wide range of imported grocery items from around the globe, including China, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Mexico.
In 1993, Chinese-Vietnamese entrepreneur and seafood wholesaler Hieu Tran opened our first location in 1993 to serve the Chinese community of Monterey Park, California. Since our founding more than 30 years ago, we have experienced rapid expansion thanks to strong customer loyalty and the excellent support and cooperation of our suppliers. We currently have a total of 18 stores conveniently located throughout California, Nevada, Oregon, and Texas.

About Our Name
“Shun Fat” is the romanized transcription of 順發 in Cantonese. Shun fa (順發) in Chinese and thuận phát in Vietnamese both mean a “favorable distribution” (of wealth).
